Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity-Jig

My sugery was 'technically challenging' according to Dr. Salley and he had to get Dr. Stands in to assist, so I got a two-fer! The good news is my uterus and cervix are gone and with it, nasty Mr. Cancer! Yesterday and last night at Baptist Hospital were pleasant thanks to Susie, Ever, Leslie, Arlene and Sandy, the three shifts of wonderful nurses who took great care of me. Ever had a morphine pump???? I highly recommend it ;)

I got home around 11am today and have done a little walking but mostly more sleeping. (I know Alei and Denise will be proud!) Had pancakes for dinner....made by my sister-in-law Joanna, a personal favorite when I'm feeling down and got to enjoy them with my nieces Madeline and Zoe. Tom was out-of-town tonight so we had girls night! I'm off to Darvocet-land now and bed again. Thanks for all the good karma....I felt it like a warm blanket over the last 36 hours.

Hi MaryJo,

Monique and I have been sending you so many positive vibes. Would it be okay if I phone you at Tom and Joanna's??

Monique has her surgery on Monday.

You are ever on my mind.

Much love,

Helen

I kept praying that all would be well, so I guess they were listened to. Now, the next task is to enjoy the recovery time. Are you wearing your sweatsuit? Have some pics posted soon, oK?
My math midterm went a ok, Eric was so nice. I'll find soon enough how I did. I kept looking out to see if you were there, I was so nervous!
